Host Job Fair |
03/14/09 |
Conducted a Job Fair at the Tallahassee Auto Museum from 9a-1p. Was open to the public at no charge to job-seekers. Over 400 people attended. Twelve employers (including Cumulus) had booths for job seekers to visit, apply and interview for jobs. The Market Manager, Sales Managers and Promotions Director were all present from Cumulus and accepted applications for Account Executives and internships. |

Management level training regarding equal employment opportunity and preventing discrimination |

Cumulus Corporate HR held a mandatory conference call for all Business Managers and Market Managers to train on EEOC regulations. |

6 College Students came and worked with the Sales, Business and Programming Departments to learn the inner workings of a radio station. |

This SEU’s programming department regularly maintains a training program designed to offer current part-time staff members the opportunity to acquire skills necessary for the attainment of a full-time on-air position. Participating staff members shadow on-air personalities and programming managers for an amount of time based on the part- time staff member doing the shadowing and the position that is being shadowed, and are offered the opportunity to participate in training seminars. |

Host Internship Programs |

Our SEU maintains an ongoing internship program with Florida State University and Florida A&M University. Internships are structured on a semester basis, and allow communications students the opportunity to achieve practical experience in our programming and production departments. During this reporting period, this SEU hosted a total of 68 interns; 18 Florida State University Students, 38 Florida A& M University and 12 from Tallahassee Community College. |
